This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you access or use our website at rcibuilders.net or submit information through our contact form or Careers page (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Notice applies to individuals who interact with RCI Builders, Inc. in the State of California through our website, contact form, or Careers page. This Privacy Notice is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, our Terms of Use.

3. Personal Information We Collect

Because RCI Builders operates a basic informational website, contact form, and Careers page, the categories of personal information we may collect include:

  • Identifiers – such as your name, email address, and telephone number submitted through our contact form or Careers page.
  • Professional or Employment-Related Information – such as the position or interest described in your message, your confirmation that you are local to or intend to work in our area, and any other information (including links to online résumés or profiles) you choose to include when submitting an inquiry through our Careers page.
  • Internet or Network Activity – such as your IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, and information about interactions with our website collected through Google Analytics (including Universal Analytics and GA4) and reCAPTCHA v3.
  • Inferences – drawn from other information to understand preferences, interests, site usage, or security risk.

4. Sources of Personal Information

We collect personal information from the following sources:

  • Directly from you, such as when you submit an inquiry through our contact form or a job application through our Careers page;
  • Automatically through your interactions with our website, including through cookies, Google Analytics, and reCAPTCHA v3; and
  • From third parties, such as analytics and security providers, that support our website and contact form, as permitted by law.

5. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for business purposes, including to:

  • Respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form;
  • Evaluate and process job applications, communicate with applicants, and comply with employment-related legal obligations;
  • Provide information about RCI Builders’ construction services and respond to requests for information;
  • Conduct analytics to understand website usage and improve our website, content, and services;
  • Protect the website and contact form, including through reCAPTCHA v3 to detect and prevent spam, fraud, security incidents, and misuse;
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, property, and safety of RCI Builders, Inc., our visitors, and others.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. These technologies include Google Analytics (including legacy Universal Analytics and GA4), which helps us understand website traffic and usage, and Google reCAPTCHA v3, which helps protect our contact form from spam and abuse. We do not currently use session replay tools, advertising pixels, or chat widgets.

Please note that your preferences do not affect data collection or use that is necessary to operate our website, maintain security, prevent spam, comply with legal obligations, or otherwise permitted by law.

7. How We Share Personal Information

RCI Builders, Inc. does not sell personal information for money and does not currently use advertising partners. Our use of Google Analytics may be considered “sharing” under the CCPA; you may opt out as described in Your Privacy Choices. We may share personal information with:

  • Google Analytics, including Universal Analytics and GA4, to help us understand website traffic and usage;
  • Google reCAPTCHA v3, to help protect our contact form from spam and abuse;
  • WP Engine, our website hosting provider;
  • iOVA Communications, our website developer and support provider;
  • Legal or regulatory authorities when required to comply with law, legal process, or protect rights and safety; and
  • Successors or acquirers in connection with a corporate transaction.

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you. We may disclose personal information as necessary to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect our rights, property, and safety, or support a corporate transaction.

8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents may have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the “CCPA”), subject to applicable exceptions:

  • Know and access: the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources of that information, the purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with which we disclose it;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. RCI Builders, Inc. does not sell personal information; our use of Google Analytics may be considered “sharing,” and you may opt out as described in Your Privacy Choices;
  • Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information where applicable;
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 14. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond to requests as required by the CCPA. You may also use an authorized agent as permitted by law.

  1. Service Providers and Contractors

We use service providers and contractors to support our website and contact form, including WP Engine for hosting, Google for analytics and reCAPTCHA v3, and iOVA Communications for website development and support. These providers are contractually required, where applicable, to use personal information only to provide services for RCI Builders, Inc. and not for their own independent purposes.

10. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. These include access controls, encryption, monitoring, and secure storage practices. No system is completely secure.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Personal information is not retained indefinitely and is subject to our internal retention and deletion practices. Contact form and Careers page submissions are not stored on our website; they are delivered to RCI Builders by email. We retain job application information for the period required by applicable employment laws (generally four years under California law) and retain other inquiries only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain our business records, after which they are deleted.

12. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it as required by law.

13. Changes to This Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The Last Updated date indicates when it was most recently revised. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice as required by law. Your continued use of our Services after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Notice.
