Avalara

RCI Builders delivered the East Coast headquarters for Avalara, the cloud-based tax compliance software company. Working with Alliance Architecture, RCI built out a distinctive creative-office environment that capitalized on the building’s frontage overlooking the Durham Bulls Ballpark. The space pairs Avalara’s brand identity with playful, sports-inspired design — including vintage-wood bleacher seating and tiki-style breakout areas oriented toward the ballpark — to create an energetic, one-of-a-kind workplace. The concept went on to influence Avalara’s office design at locations beyond Durham.
